Ceetrus initiated a process of transformation of Auchan Drumul Taberei commercial center, which will improve the commercial mix, increase the number of stores and create a space dedicated to the community – Community Hub.
The shopping area will expand by 2,800 sqm and will lead to the creation of 30 new stores that will offer our customers a full range of shopping and leisure experiences. 80% of the commercial surface is already rented by Romanian and international retailers: KFC, Starbucks, 5 to Go, Calif, Crouton, Sushi Master, Nedelya, Norauto, Bookcity, UPC and Top Shop are the newest tenants.
The food-court area will be the main anchor of the ground floor, occupying 15% of the commercial area of the center, and will offer its customers a mix of fast food and restaurants in a new urban architecture.
The new design keeps the historic footprint of the Drumul Taberei neighbourhood, but also brings a new, urban approach, designed by the Igloo architects team.
A major component in this transformation process is the creation of a Community Hub. This will be a space that will function as an interface between the shopping center and the neighbourhood’s residents. The Hub aims at urban and social activation and invites any citizen who does not want to be simply a spectator in the neighbourhood’s life, to get involved and leave a mark on the way the neighbourhood develops.
